When I was young I wanted nothing more than to grow up to be an artist that was until my grandpa gave my cousin and me an old Mac with a huge box of games to play. It was at that point I discovered my love for technology and then I proceeded to die of dysentery about 1000 times.
In 2006 I was given a computer for college, a Dell laptop. We had an old family computer for years but this was different, it was powerful, I could play games, create designs, and a ton more. I discovered a website (w3 schools) where I could start learning how to create websites. I was so fascinated with it I burnt through all of their CSS and HTML content in a matter of a few hours. I was on top of the world because I was now a web designer.
I’ve always been someone that enjoys helping others. I love helping people reach their dreams and knowing that I made a difference in their business.
When I first starting designing and building websites I thought I would figure it out in a few short days but I quickly learned it's much more complicated than that.
Of course, building something simple on a platform like Wix or Squarespace can be easy but rarely produces the quality and effectiveness a business needs.
I’ve worked with many people that hire a friend of a friend or find a freelancer online and get less than what they expected. Some even end up losing money by paying someone before getting ghosted.
I’ve also seen far too often a designer create a website without understanding best practices or clutter the code with unused and unnecessary design styles, leading to a slow or unresponsive website.
I’ve spent years working with clients and learning how to avoid issues like these and I take pride in my work. I aim to create effective websites that go beyond expectations. I do what I do because I love it and want to help people create something awesome.
Like I said above I’ve been doing this for years and I’m rather good at helping businesses look better and attract more customers.
My family and friends are everything to me. They all have supported me while I worked to build my career. I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am today without them.
It might sound simple but these things make up a large chuck of where I spend my time. I enjoy other things like my vegetable garden and fishing but the majority of my interest falls into one of these categories.
